Week Nine is upon us and with six teams on bye this week and many key players injured, the fantasy matchups are sure to be interesting. Join me as I share updates throughout the day’s games, including big plays, touchdowns and any injuries that take place.

(7:44PM) Thanks to the running of Gordon, the Chargers will wrap up the win and end our afternoon slate of games. Enjoy Sunday and Monday night games and good luck in your fantasy matchups!

(7:37PM) As the Chargers try to milk the clock and take out the Titans, RB Melvin Gordon was forced to leave the game with what looked like an ankle injury. After missing a couple of plays, he returned to run for 47 yards on a critical third down. Gordon is making his case as one of the top five fantasy backs in the game. He’s up to 250 total yards on the day.

(7:35PM) Despite a strong comeback effort, the Packers fell short, losing to the Colts by a 31-26 score.

(7:37PM) Thanks to a strong second effort, RB DeMarco Murray scored his first touchdown of the day, narrowing the lead to eight points. Murray has 80 total yards along with the TD.

(7:24PM) The Chargers defense has done it again, picking off QB Marcus Mariota and taking it back to the house and San Diego now leads 43-28 with under five minutes remaining.

(7:22PM) It had been a quiet day for WR Randall Cobb, who is dealing with a bad hammy, but he just caught the third touchdown pass thrown by QB Aaron Rodgers, closing the Colts lead to five points with under four minutes remaining. Cobb has a pair of catches for 14 total yards.

(7:20PM) On a day featuring some huge offensive production and very little defense, the Saints have wrapped up a raod victory over the 49ers.

(7:16PM) A pair of RBs continue to absolutely dominate their opponents today. Chargers RB Melvin Gordon is up to a total of 203 yards and a touchdown as he pads the San Diego lead. For the Saints, Mark Ingram is proving last week was a fluke as he has 166 yards and two touchdowns on the day.

(7:10PM) It’s likely too little, too late for the Packers, but QB Aaron Rodgers just found WR Davante Adams, who had a huge 40-yard catch on the drive, for the score. Adams now has a 4/41/1 line for the day.

(7:08PM) QB Marcus Mariota threw another touchdown pass, hitting TE Delanie Walker to close the Chargers gap to five points. Mariota has a trio of TD passes in the game.

(7:07PM) The Rams onside kick failed and the Panthers will be able to take a knee and run out the clock as they will win by a score of 13-3.

(7:04PM) RB Frank Gore is in the paint for the second time today, giving the Colts a big fourth quarter lead. The Packers have had multiple trips inside the red zone, but have struggled to finish and are getting handled at home. Gore has 72 total yards on the day, along with his pair of touchdowns.

(7:00PM) With under two minutes remaining, the Rams are going to go down to the Panthers, currently driving but trailing by ten points. QB Cam Newton has 225 passing yards with one touchdown and his top WR was again Kelvin Benjamin, gaining 76 yards on five catches.

(6:46PM) The Chargers defense just stepped up in a big way, forcing and recovering a fumble from QB Marcus Mariota and then taking it all the way back for the score, opening the lead to double-digit points.

(6:38PM) The Saints and 49ers have slowed down in the second half, but New Orleans is back on the board thanks to an amazing catch by rookie WR Michael Thomas, his second touchdown of the day. Thomas leads the Saints with five catches for 73 yards.

(6:36PM) RB Melvin Gordon already had his 100 yard game and now he has his touchdown, giving the Chargers the lead once again. Gordon is now up to 140 total yards in the game.

(6:28PM) A few fantasy scoring updates from the late games. In PPR leagues, RB Mark Ingram is the RB1 for the week, 49ers RB DuJuan Harris is the RB2. QB Colin Kaepernick is up to QB6 and Marcus Mariota comes in as QB7. Greg Olsen is the TE3 on the week.

(6:21PM) Chargers RB Melvin Gordon has hit the 100 yard mark for the third time this season. Gordon has also chipped in with a pair of receptions and the team will need him as they are now playing from behind.

(6:19PM) The Titans have come all the way back to gain the lead over San Diego on a touchdown run from QB Marcus Mariota, giving the team a 21-19 lead.

(6:13PM) The Packers made WR Randall Cobb active, but didn’t use him in the first half. He did enter the game in the second half and his first touch was a carry, which he fumbled.

(6:07PM) With rookie TE Hunter Henry still out, veteran Antonio Gates is looking like his old self, leading the team with 58 yards on four catches and a touchdown in the first half.

(6:05PM) It’s looking like RB DeMarco Murray would be one of the day’s fantasy busts. At halftime, he has just 16 rushing yards on seven carries. With no Derrick Henry, Murrau should se eplenty of second half work.

(5:57PM) For the Titans, it was Mariota-Matthews for the second time today as WR Rishard Matthews just caught his second touchdown of the day and Tennessee is back in the game. Mariota now has 120 yards and the two scores in the game, while Matthews has a 3/30/2 line.

(5:48PM) QB Andrew Luck just completed a beautiful drive against the Packers defense, hitting WR Donte Moncrief for the score, to give the Colts a 24-10 lead as halftime approaches. Luck has 146 yards on that day and that was his first touchdown pass. Moncrief now sits with a 2/16/1 line.

(5:45PM) It’s only halftime, but the Saints/49ers game has already produced 51 points. Along with the big yardage mentioned for 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, DuJuan Harris has 99 total yards and score and Saints QB Drew Brees has just under 200 yards and a pair of touchdown passes, going to RB Mark Ingram and WR Michael Thomas.

(5:42PM) The Rams/Panthers game is at the half and has featured very little offense. Panthers QB Cam Newton has just over 100 passing yards and one score, going to TE Greg Olsen. RB Jonathan Stewart has only eight yards on nine carries, while WR Kelvin Benjamin is sporting a 3/46 line on the day. Rams RB Todd Gurley has 35 rshing yards on 10 carries.

(5:37PM) The Niners are staying in the game against New Orleans after a Colin Kaepernick touchdown pass to TE Vance McDonald, closing the gap to eight points. Kaepernick now has 286 first half passing yards and a pair of touchdowns. McDonald has 79 yards on a pair of receptions, including the 65-yarder for the score.

(5:27PM) Things may have just gotten more difficult for the Titans as rookie RB Derrick Henry has left the game with a leg injury and his return is questionable. Veteran DeMarco Murray will have to carry the load as he has done for most of the season.

(5:24PM) The Titans finally had an answer to the Chargers offense, marching down and scoring on a QB Marcus Mariota pass to WR Rishard Matthews. That was only Mariota’s third completion on the day.

(5:22PM) Last week may have been a career low-point for RB Mark Ingram, but he is making up for it today. After already scoring one touchdown, Ingram just set a new career long with a 75-yard run for a score. That gives him 89 rushing yards and the pair of scores already today.

(5:13PM) The San Francisco 49ers are on the board as QB Colin Kaepernick threw a short pass to RB DuJuan Harris who streaked down the sideline for the 47-yard score. The Niners now trail 21-10. Harris already has 76 total yards.

(5:07PM) RB Melvin Gordon is carving up the Titans defense, already racking up 75 total yards. A long 43-yard run from Gordon set up the teams latest touchdown, a QB Philip Rivers to WR Tyrell Williams connection to give the team a 16-0 lead. It could be hard for Tennessee to rely on their run game being down so much so early.

(5:06PM) The Packers have their first touchdown of the day, thanks to a magnificent catch by WR Jordy Nelson on a QB Aaron Rodgers pass. The Pack trail 14-10. That was Nelson’s first catch of the game.

(5:04PM) The Saints are on the board again as RB Mark Ingram is working himself out of the dog house and catching a short scoring pass from QB Drew Brees will help. The Saints lead 21-3.

(5:02PM) This probably isn’t surprising, but the Rams offense is off to a slow start. Midway through the second quarter, the Rams have yet to score a point. QB Case Keenum has jusy 79 passing yards, RB Todd Gurley has 18 rushing yards on eight carries and WR Tavon Austin hasn’t recorded a catch yet. WR Kenny Britt, who has been the team’s most consistent pass-catcher, has one grab for 15 yards.

(5:00PM) The top scorers at the TE position include…

TE1- Jason Witten, DAL

TE2- Zach Ertz, PHI

TE3- Eric Ebron, DET

TE4- Cameron Brate, TB

TE5- Austin Hooper, ATL

(4:53PM) The highest scoring WRs for Week Nine so far are:

WR1- Mike Evans, TB

WR2- Julio Jones, ATL

WR3- Golden Tate, DET

WR4- Mike Wallace, BAL

WR5- Stefon Diggs, MIN

(4:51PM) The Colts are taking it to the Packers early as RB Frank Gore just scored a touchdown to put his team in front 14-3. Green Bay has had two trips to the red zone, but have been limited to just three points.

(4:44PM) The top scoring fantasy runners of the day are:

RB1- Ezekiel Elliott, DAL

RB2- Jay Ajayi, MIA

RB3- Matt Forte, NYJ

RB4- TJ Yeldon, JAX

RB5- Le’Veon Bell, PIT

(4:43PM) RB Mark Ingram did finally get on the field and the Saints have scored again, thanks to a pass from QB Drew Brees to rookie WR Michael Thomas, who has two catches on the day for 24 yards.

(4:40PM) The Green Bay Packers offense continues to be one of the most interesting. On their first drive, Ty Montgomery got two carries out of the backfield for 26 yards. WR Randall Cobb was not spotted on the field, despite being active. The Packers have it back after an interception thrown by QB Andrew Luck

(4:37PM) With the early games now complete, here’s a detailed look at the top fantasy scorers up to this point, beginning with the QBs:

QB1- Matt Ryan, ATL

QB2- Dak Prescott, DAL

QB3- Eli Manning, NYG

QB4- Jameis Winston, TB

QB5- Blake Bortles, JAX

(4:34PM) Speaking of Hightower, he has eight carries in the first couple of drives while we have yet to see Mark Ingram on the field.

(4:32PM) QB Cam Newton and the Panthers are on the board early as Cam found TE Greg Olsen for the early score against the Rams. The Saints also get an early touchdown, their’s coming on a run from veteran RB Tim Hightower. Finally, the Chargers take an early lead over the Titans on a TE Antonio Gates score.

(4:28PM) The Packers/Colts game began with a 99-yard kickoff return by Colts Jordan Todman, giving Indy a nice cushion in the game’s opening seconds.

(4:23PM) While they were threatened, the Ravens held on to defeat the Steelers, the Giants outlasted the Eagles, Miami took out the Jets and the Chiefs are on their way to taking out the Jacksonville Jaguars. We can now turn our attention to the four late games.

(4:16PM) The Steelers have made it a game and QB Ben Roethlisberger just scrambled for a four-yard score to bring Pittsburgh within a touchdown with less than a minute to play. The team will have to attempt an onside kick to have a shot.

(4:10PM) Pending a review, the Lions have scored in overtime to defeat the Vikings after QB Matthew Stafford hit WR Golden Tate, who did a great job to stay in bounds and then flipped into the end zone for the score. Stafford finished with two touchdowns and 219 yards, while Tate had 11 grabs for 79 yards and the TD.

(4:09PM) The late afternoon games are underway and RB Tim Hightower gets the first crack at the Saints backfield, playing ahead of RB Mark Ingram. Hightower’s first two carries went for eight yards.

(4:05PM) The Dolphins are doing their best to give the game away and the Jets finally have taken advantage. AFter a turnover on a botched punt, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw complete to rookie WR Jalin Marshall for the go-ahead score. The Jets now lead 23-20 with under six minutes remaining.

(3:56PM) A pair of notes as games begin to wrap up. The Lions quickly moved down the field and PK Matt Prater nailed a 58-yard field goal to send the Lions/Vikings game to overtime. For the Jets, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick returned to the game, only to throw an interception in the end zone as the Dolphins hang onto their lead with seven minutes left.

(3:53PM) The Dallas Cowboys become the first team today to get the win as their blowout of the Cleveland Browns has officially ended. RB Ezekiel Elliott ended with 92 rushing yards and a pair of scores.

(3:52PM) With less than 30 seconds remaining, the Vikings have just taken the lead on a run by TE Rhett Ellison. Minnesota leads by three points and QB Matthew Stafford and the Lions will have 23 seconds to take the lead.

(3:45PM) The Steelers have been struggling all day, but QB Ben Roethlisberger just hit WR Antonio Brown for a 23-yard score. Brown has a 4/59/1 day as he’s salvaged a solid fantasy stat line from a miserable game.

(3:43PM) Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, frustrated by a no-call, threw a towel at an official and was qucikly ejected from the game. Kansas City leads 16-7 over Jacksonville and the team will have to finish the game without Kelce and WR Jeremy Maclin and were already without QB Alex Smith and RB Spencer Ware

(3:39PM) At the two-minute warning, the Vikings are driving in hopes of taking the lead, currently trailing by a score of 13-9 to Detroit. The Vikings have had no running game to speak of and QB Sam Bradford has over 250 yards, he’s spread the ball around. WR Stefon Diggs leads the team with 10 receptions for 64 yards.

(3:30PM) After taking a late hit that resulted in a penalty, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick wasn’t able to continue with the next play. He took a knee and second-year man Bryce Petty is currently preparing to enter the game. It appears to be a knee issue for Fitz.

(3:25PM) Here are the target leaders on the day, so far.

9- Witten

8- Robinson, Diggs, Tate

7- Beckham, Pryor, Matthews, Coleman

6- A Wilson, S Smith, Patterson, Marshall

(3:21PM) Jaguars WR Allen Hurns continues to fall flat. He’s failed to catch any of his four targets so far today. He’s another player that simply can’t be trusted by fantasy players.

(3:18PM) TE Zach Ertz of the Eagles continues to struggle and he has been outplayed by his backup, Trey Burton today. Both players have three catches on the day. Ertz has become impossible to use in fantasy lineups.

(3:15PM) The Baltimore Ravens continue to shut out their Rival Pittsburgh and QB Ben Roethlisberger has just been intercepted. He still has just 54 passing yards as the entire Steelers offense is beng shut down.

(3:12PM) QB Eli Manning just threw his fourth score of the game, this time finding rookie WR Sterling Shepard for a 32-yard score. Manning has 232 yards to go with his quartet of TDs. Shepard leads the team with 50 yards on three catches.

(3:10PM) With starting RB Spencer Ware out, his backup Charcandrick West was expected to have a big day against the weak Jaguars defense. Instead, midway through the third quarter, West has just 25 total yards on the day.

(3:08PM) Another touchdown pass for Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, who hit TE Gavin Escobar for the score to make it 35-10 over the Browns. Prescott has 218 yards and three TDs on the day.

(2:59PM) A surprise for the late games, WR Randall Cobb is active for the Packers. It’s difficult to say how much action he’ll see and with a hamstring injury, there is always risk that he could be forced to leave the game early.

(2:53PM) The Vikes just scored their first touchdown of the game as QB Sam Bradford connected with TE Kyle Rudolph for the score. Thanks to a missed extra point from Blair Walsh, Minnesota still trails by one point.

(2:48PM) Zeke is eating today! Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott just scored his second touchdown of the day, to go along with 74 rushing yards as Dallas leads the Browns 28-10.

(2:45PM) Early in the third quarter, WR Dez Bryant has his first reception of the day on his third target. Bryant’s catch was good for 19 yards and the Cowboys are in the red zone again.

(2:42PM) With most games now at halftime, here are your top fantasy scorers at each position:

QB- Manning, Prescott, Kessler, Flacco, Bortles

RB- Forte, Ajayi, Elliott, Ivory, Mathews

WR- Wallace, Beckham, Pryor, Robinson, Beasley

TE- Witte, D Jones, Ebron, Kelce, Ertz

(2:41PM) Yet another WR injury as the Giants have ruled out veteran Victor Cruz for the rest of the game with an ankle injury. The Steelers have also announced Heyward-Bay will not return.

(2:40PM) Just before halftime, QB Blake Bortles hit WR Allen Robinson in the back of the end zone for the score, the Jags first of the day. ARob is up to three grabs for 40 yards, along with that touchdown.

(2:27PM) Even with QB Ben Roethlisberger back, the Steelers offense can’t get it going. Big Ben has just 50 passing yards on the day, while RB Le’Veon Bell has 34 total yards. WR Antonio Brown has only managed one reception for five yards with under two minutes left in the half.

(2:25PM) The Browns are putting up a fight, as they have much of the season. QB Cody Kessler found WR Terrelle Pryor for the score, closing the deficit to 11 points as halftime nears. Pryor has a 4/41/1 line for the game so far.

(2:20PM) A pair of WR injuries from the Pittsburgh/Baltimore game. The Steelers are playing without Darrius Heyward-Bay, while Ravens WR Mike Wallace has been sent to the locker room. More on these injuries later. Miami’s WR Kenny Stills has also been sent to the locker room with an injury.

(2:16PM) The route is on. Dallas QB Dak Prescott hit a wide open WR Cole Beasley standing in the end zone. It was the third catch of the day for Beasley and the second score for Prescott as the Cowboys lead Cleveland 21-3.

(2:11PM) Star WR Dez Bryant entered the day with a questionable tag and it’s showing. The Cowboys are in control against Cleveland, but Bryant has failed to record a catch on the day. He has been targeted twice. If Dallas continues to lead comfortably, we might not see much from Dez.

(2:08PM) It’s an Eli Day! The Giants QB just threw his third touchdown of the day, finding WR Odell Beckham for the second time today. Manning now has 143 yards and three scores in the middle of the second quarter. Beckham has just two catches, but both have gone for touchdowns.

(2:06PM) A couple updates for the AFC East matchup between the Jets and Dolphins. First, Miami took the lead on a touchdown pass from QB Ryan Tannehill to TE Donnie Jones. On the next possession, Jets RB Matt Forte had another long run, this one going for 32 yards. He’s up to 78 total yards on the day as the Jets were limited to a field goal attempt.

(2:04PM) Rookie WR Corey Coleman made his return to the field today after missing several games with a broken hand. Coleman has just one catch so far on the day, gaining 11 yards.

(1:57PM) The Cowboys got their first touchdown from rookie QB Dak Prescott and now their other rookie, RB Ezekiel Elliott has one of his own, rushing 10 yards for the score. Zeke is up to 35 yards on just eight carries.

(1:55PM) WR Bryce Treggs made his first career reception earlier for the Eagles and he just hauled in another catch, this one going for 58 yards and leading to an eight-yard touchdown run by Ryan Mathews. The Eagles needed a score to get back in the game after two early turnovers. There was a pre-game report that Mathews may not get many carries, but he has three touches for 14 yards so far on the day.

(1:45PM) WR Jeremy Maclin might be out, but the Chiefs are still rolling. QB Nick Foles found WR Abert Wilson is the end zone for the first score of the game. Wilson and WR Tyreek Hill could see increased looks if Maclin remains sidelined.

(1:40PM) Jets RB Matt Forte has done it again. He just ran for a 30-yard score, giving the Jets the lead. Forte has over 40 total yards in the first quarter.

(1:38PM) The Ravens were buried, but that didn’t stop them as QB Joe Flacco hit WR Mike Wallace who did most of the work on a 95-yard touchdown strike, giving them a 7-0 lead over the Steelers. That single play is good for over 16 fantasy points for Wallace.

(1:36PM) It took nearly two months longer than we expected, but Vikings rookie WR Laquon Treadwell has his first career NFL reception, making a first down grab good for 15 yards. The Vikings change at offensive coordinator over the past week could be a good sign for Treadwell.

(1:34PM) Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin was questionable for Week Nine before being declared active. Now, the same groin injury that  put him in doubt has him out of the game and iffy to return.

(1:31PM) I don’t know if RB Jay Ajayi can make it three games in a row with 200 rushing yards, but he has found the end zone once again, taking it in from 20 yards outs. After getting stuffed early on, Ajayi now has 12 total rushing yards and the score and the Dolphins have a 7-3 lead over the Jets.

(1:25PM) The Chiefs are without their starting QB and RB as both Alex Smith and Spencer Ware are out with concussions. Starting in their place are QB Nick Foles and RB Charcandrick West. Foles is 2/5 for  29 yards early on, while West has nine yards on three carries.

(1:23PM) The Browns defense had no idea what was happening, so QB Dak Prescott threw to a wide open TE Jason Witten, who took it in for the easy 26-yard touchdown. Dallas leads 7-3 and Witten has two catches for 31 yards and a touchdown.

(1:21PM) QB Ben Roethlisberger got the start for the Steelers, but has been quiet so far. Big Ben has thrown just a pair of passes so far in the game, both incomplete. RB Le’Veon Bell has four carries for eight yards as Pittsburgh has started slowly.

(1:19PM) Another Carson Wentz interception. Another Giants touchdown thanks to great field position. QB Eli Manning hit rookie WR Roger Lewis for a 30-yard score, giving the G-Men a 14 point lead. Manning has 59 passing yards and the two scores.

(1:17PM) A long 42-yard run from RB Theo Riddick put the lions in business, but they settled for a field goal, giving them a three point lead over Minnesota. Riddick already has 48 yards on four touches.

(1:13PM) After intercepting QB Carson Wentz, the Giants offense wasted little time as QB Eli Manning hit WR Odell Beckham on a slant and he did the rest, scoring a 26-yard touchdown. OBJ has now scored in three consecutive games.

(1:12PM) RB Jerick McKinnon is back for the Vikings, but it was RB Matt Asiata who got the start. McKinnon still earned the first carry and Asiata has an early reception for nine yards.

(1:09PM) A fight just broke out in the Cowboys/Browns game and each team has lost a player for the game. Browns C Cam Erving and Cowboys DE David Irving were both ejected from the game after an altercation. It hurts losing any player, but it could be a long day for Kessler, Crowell and RB Duke Johnson after losing a starting lineman. The Browns settled for a field goal to end the drive.

(1:06PM) The Browns have another change at QB, going back to rookie Cody Kessler this week, but they are starting hot again just as they did last week. Pass plays to WR Terrelle Pryor (16 yards) and RB Isaiah Crowell (44 yards) have them threatening and in the red zone.

(12:57PM) After being benched last week following a lost fumble, we’ll be watching the playing time for Saints RB Mark Ingram and his teammate Tim Hightower, who rushed for over 100 yards week. Both could do well against the 49ers today.

(12:56PM) 49ers RB Carlos Hyde has been ruled out. DuJuan Harris looks like the play in his place. Also, WR Randall Cobb is looking iffy later this afternoon for the Packers.

(12:54PM) Other key players who are ACTIVE today include Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin, Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon, Lions RB Theo Riddick, Browns WR Corey Coleman and Ravens WR Steve Smith.

(12:45PM) The big news of the mornign is the return of Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger, who missed a couple of games with a knee injury. His return is sure to be a boost to WR Antonio Brown, WR Sammie Coates and every member of the Steelers offense.
