The fantasy playoffs are here for most of us and Week Fourteen brings some difficult decisions as late-season injuries and difficult matchups affect nearly every lineup decision. Today, Eagles TE Zach Ertz, Cardinals RB Adrian Peterson, Redskins TE Jordan Reed, and Rams WR Robert Woods are expected to miss the game. Players that are active include: Lions QB Matthew Stafford, Raiders WR Amari Cooper, Panthers TE Greg Olsen and Panthers WR Devin Funchess.

(7:44PM) The final game of the afternoon slate is the Eagles and Rams, facing off in a two-point game and with a first down and under two minutes, the Eagles are going to hang on to get the win and end the day’s action. Enjoy the Sunday Night and Monday Night games and good luck in your playoff matchups!

(7:49PM) ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that the Eagles are concerned that QB Carson Wentz has torn his ACL. This would obviously be devastating for the Eagles Super Bowl hopes.

(7:40PM) The Jaguars are going to survive after the Seahawks failed on the fourth-down attempt. With the Jags kneeling, the two sides started to brawl. When this gets cleaned up, we could see some ejections, which won’t matter, and some suspensions, which certainly will.

(7:31PM) With under four minutes remaining, the Seahawks and Russell Wilson have the ball back and are down six points. Veteran TE Jimmy Graham has just two targets and no receptions in the game.

(7:24PM) Seahawks QB Russell Wilson has done it again, hitting WR Tyler Lockett with a deep 74-yard touchdown pass. The Seahakws now trail by six points with under four minutes remaining.

(7:10PM) It is likely too late to matter, but QB Russell Wilson just connected with WR Paul Richardson for a 61-yard touchdown, cutting the lead to ten points with around ten minutes remaining.

(7:08PM) The Rams are back in the lead in this NFC battle as RB Todd Gurley scored from one-yard out. Gurley now has 100 rushing yards on just 11 carries.

(7:07PM) Another injury to a starting QB and this one could have much more serious ramifications as the Eagles quickly ruled out QB Carson Wentz for the remainder of the day with a knee injury. It worries me that they made the decision so quickly. There is clearly some concern in the coming weeks about his availability.

(7:05PM) Jets QB Josh McCown was in and out of the lineup in today’s loss with multiple injuries and HC Todd Bowles announced following the game that his starter has a broken hand. No timetable was announced regarding how much time he would miss, but he is a safe drop in all fantasy formats.

(6:57PM) Everything seems to be going right for the Eagles and QB Carson Wentz, but he took a hard shot on the last drive and now backup QB Nick Foles is warming up as Wentz heads to the locker room.

(6:52PM) A disasterous game for the Jets mericfully ended rather quickly as the Broncos shut them out 23-0. WR Demaryius Thomas caught eight passes for 93 yards and a touchdown in a game lacking much offensive power.

(6:50PM) The Eagles have regained the lead as QB Carson Wentz found his top WR Alshon Jeffery for a two-yard score. That’s Wentz’s fourth touchdown pass of the game and Jeffery now has a 4/42/1 line with plenty of time still remaining.

(6:37PM) A pair of special teams plays are making a huge impact in the late games. First, the Rams blocked an Eagles punt and returned it for the go-ahead touchdown, making the score 28-24. Next, the Jaguars returned a punt for 72 yards before being tackled at the one-yard line. RB Leonard Fournette did the rest and the Jags now lead 24-10 late in the third quarter. Fournette has eight carries for 34 yards.

(6:27PM) A pair of quick touchdowns have changed the face of the Seattle/Jacksonville game. The Seahawks tied the game on a scoring pass from QB Russell Wilson to WR Doug Baldwin, spanning 26 yards. The Jags had an answer though when QB Blake Bortles unloaded a 75-yard bomb to rookie WR Keelan Cole, regaining the lead for Jacksonville.

(6:25PM) The Rams have executed a nice drive, ending with a short touchdown pass from QB Jared Goff to WR Sammy Watkins, bringing the game to just a three point difference. Watkins has caught just two passes for five yards in the game.

(6:13PM) One of the most-anticipated games of the week is the defensive showdown between the Jaguars and the Seahawks and it is not disappointing. The Jags just recorded the first touchdown of the day, a QB Blake Bortles pass to rookie WR Dede Westbrook. Midway through the third quarter, QB Russell Wilson has just 79 passing yards.

(6:09PM) The Chargers have scored again, just before halftime. RB Melvin Gordon is on the board with a one-yard touchdown run and has 52 total yards at the half.

(5:49PM) Early in the third-quarter, the Chargers are having their way with the Redskins, leading 23-6. QB Philip Rivers has 256 yards and two scores, while WR Tyrell Williams has a 4/132/1 line. RB Melvin Gordon has just 35 rushing yards, while WR Keenan Allen has five grabs for 60 yards.

(5:31PM) The Rams are trying to stay in the game and a touchdown from QB Jared Goff to WR Cooper Kupp for a six-yard score, making the game 21-14 in favor of the Eagles. Kupp now has 3/88/1 for the game.

(5:25PM) Another Eagles drive, another passing touchdown to a tight end. This time, QB Carson Wentz went back to TE Trey Burton for his second score of the game to give Philly a 21-7 lead on the road against the Rams. Burton now has a 3/40/2 line.

(5:01PM) With TE Zach Ertz out of the game, the Eagles had already gone to one of his backups, TE Brent Celek for a touchdown and now TE Trey Burton has one of his own, making a contested 20-yard touchdown reception.

(4:58PM) WR Tyrell Williams has been largely a non-factor this season, but he just hauled in a 75-yard touchdown, extending the Chargers lead to 2-6 and giving him 112 yards already. QB Philip Rivers has 197 yards and a pair of scores.

(4:56PM) The forst score in the Titans/Cardinals game is in the books, coming on a six-yard rush from RB Derrick Henry. Both Henry and starter DeMarco Murray have six carries midway through the second quarter.

(4:55PM) The good news is that Jets QB Josh McCown is back on the field, but the bad news is he immediately turned the ball over as the Broncos intercepted McCown.

(4:54PM) The Redskins are on the board after QB Kirk Cousins found TE Vernon Davis for a 23-yard score. The Skins have been struggling, but now trail 13-7 early in the second-quarter.

(4:53PM) The surprise season for Jets veteran QB Josh McCown might be in danger. McCown has left the game with a back injury and backup QB Bryce Petty is in the game for New York.

(4:45PM) The Rams are leaning on RB Todd Gurley and he responded with a touchdown run for two yards. Gurley has 32 yards on just two carries. The Eagles responded with a scoring drive of their own as QB Carson Wentz hit TE Brent Celek for the score. Celek and TE Trey Burton should see increased playing time with starter Zach Ertz missing the game.

(4:43PM) The Broncos lead the Jets 10-0 after a touchdown connection between QB Trevor Siemian and WR Demaryius Thomas. The entire Broncos offense has been struggling, but Thomas is off to a good start with a 4/51/1 line.

(4:41PM) The Chargers are off to a good start, leading the visiting Redskins 10-0. QB Philip Rivers found TE Hunter Henry for the eight-yard touchdown in the early going and later added a field goal. The Chargers are in the red zone again.

(4:30PM) The final scores from the early games…

49ers 26, Texans 16

Chiefs 26, Raiders 15

Cowboys 30, Giants 10

Packers 27, Browns 21

Lions 24, Buccaneers 21

Bears 33, Bengals 7

Panthers 31, Vikings 24

Bills 13, Colts 7

(4:19PM) A terrible decision by QB DeShone Kizer led to the Packers being in position to steal an overtime win and they did that on a 25-yard touchdown reception by WR Davante Adams, who weaved through the defense for the score. Adams started slowly, but posted a stat line of 10/84/2.

(4:17PM) The NFL’s showcase game of the day, due to the weather, not the play on the field, just ended in overtime. After s surpising punt with under four minutes remaining, the Bills go the ball back, got a huge play from WR Deonte Thompson and then veteran RB LeSean McCoy finished it off with a 21-yard touchdown run. McCoy ended the game with 158 yards and a touchdown in a game that featured 162 combined passing yards between both offenses.

(4:03PM) After having a touchdown run overturned on review, Packers QB Brett Hundley instead threw for the game-tying score, hitting WR Davante Adams for a one-yard score. Adams now has a 8/54/1 line and the teams are tied with just seconds left.

(4:02PM) The Panthers are back in the lead after squandering a fourth-quarter lead. RB Jonathan Stewart leaped over the line for his third touchdown of the game, making it 31-24 over the Vikings with under two minutes.

(3:59PM) Down big against the Bears, the Bengals are basically calling it a day, benching QB Andy Dalton and sending in backup QB AJ McCarron to finish out the game.

(3:57PM) In a tie game wint just over two minutes remaining, Panthers QB Cam Newton busted a 62-yard run taking his team inside the ten-yard line and putting them in position to take out the Vikings.

(3:54PM) An Eli Manning interception and a second touchdown from RB Rod Smith has turned the Dallas/New York battle into a blowout. Smith quickly has 160 total yards, much of it in the fourth-quarter.

(3:51PM) The Raiders are trying to make a major comeback and a touchdown pass from QB Derek Carr to TE Jared Cook, spanning 29 yards, will help. Oakland now trails 26-15 with just over seven minutes remaining.

(3:47PM) The Vikings are back in the game after a touchdown reception to WR Adam Thielen and a successful two-point conversion to TE Blake Bell. Thielen now has a 6/105/1 line and the Vikings now trail 24-21 with under six minutes remaining.

(3:46PM) After a back and forth game between the Giants and Cowboys, Dallas has broken this open. QB Dak Prescott hit RB Rod Smith for an 81-yard touchdown, extending the lead and all but sealing the game. Prescott, struggling entering the week, has 332 passing yards and three scores.

(3:43PM) In a game that has been beyond strange, the officials called a very late penalty against the Colts, taking the successful two-point conversion off the board. They were left to kick a 43-yard extra point just to tie the game, which he somehow did. The game is tied at 7.

(3:42PM) The Cowboys broke the tie again their rival Giants on a touchdown pass from QB Dak Prescott to TE Jason Witten. Dallas leads 17-10 over New York with under five minutes remaining.

(3:40PM) The Raiders avoided a shut out after veteran RB Marshawn Lynch broke free for a 22-yard touchdown run. The Chiefs still lead 26-7.

(3:38PM) After essentially no offense for the entire game, veteran RB Frank Gore led a long drive and the Colts scored on a short pass from QB Jacoby Brissett to TE Jack Doyle. The Colts then went for two with under two minutes remaining and Brissett/Doyle connected again to take the lead over Buffalo.

(3:29PM) It has been a rough day for Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston, who has multiple turnovers, but he connected with rookie TE OJ Howard for a two-yard score, cutting the deficit to just one score early in the fourth quarter. Howard has a 4/54/1 line, while Winston is up to 263 yards in the game.

(3:25PM) 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo just threw his first touchdown pass of the day, finding TE Garrett Celek for a six-yard score. Celek had caught a 61-yarder earlier in the drive and now has a 2/67/1 line for the game. Garoppolo now has 299 passing yards and the scoring pass.

(3:24PM) WR Kelvin Benjamin still has the majority of the receiving yardage for the Bills today, but he is questionable to return with a knee injury.

(3:22PM) Bears rookie QB Mitchell Trubisky was trying to force the ball to rookie TE Adam Shaheen and it worked. After missing on a red zone target, Shaheen got another chance and made a nice leaping catching over defenders for a one-yard touchdown. The Bears lead 26-7 over a pitiful Bengals team.

(3:19PM) The Chiefs got another rushing touchdown, this one from backup RB Charcandrick West, a 13-yarder, and they are blowing out the rival Raiders 26-0. Oakland QB Derek Carr has sturggled mightily today, totaling just 69 passing yards late in the third-quarter.

(3:17PM) Add Packers RB Jamaal Williams to the list of backs with multiple touchdowns after he carried it in from one-yard out. Williams leads the Pack in rushing and receiving with 92 total yards and the two scores. He’s been the Packers only offense as they are in danger of losing to the winless Browns.

(3:13PM) Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart already has a pair of rushing touchdowns on the day and now Lions RB Theo Riddick has matched him, looking like a power back as he took it in from 18 yards out. Riddick has 71 total yards, along with the two touchdowns.

(3:04PM) QB Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears offense fooled the Bengals and Trubisky ran it in for the four-yard touchdown. The Bears are taking it to the Bengals, leading 19-7.

(2:57PM) Start WR DeAndre Hopkins. Win and profit. Hopkins’ diving touchdown reception from 29 yards out  is his second of the day and he’s up to a 10/144/2 line on the day.

(2:54PM) We’ve already lost one quarterback today with QB Tom Savage out for Houston and now the Bills have announced that QB/WR Joe Webb will replace an injured Nathan Peterman

(2:53PM) After avoiding a sack, Panthers QB Cam Newton scrambled and improvised, finding WR Devin Funchess open near the end zone. He did the rest for the 18-yard score, extending the lead to 21-13 over the Vikings.

(2:40PM) Time to check in on the top fantasy scorers on the day…

QB- DeShone Kizer, Case Keenum, Alex Smith

RB- Jonathan Stewart, Theo Riddick, Jordan Howard

WR- DeAndre Hopkins, Josh Gordon, Dez Bryant

TE- Kyle Rudolph, Eric Ebron, Rhett Ellisson

(2:31PM) If you were worried about the production of WR DeAndre Hopkins with QB TJ Yates in the game, don’t be. Yates has relied on his best player, connecting with Hopkins on three plays for a total of 47 yards, including a touchdown. Hopkins now has a 7/91/1 line with halftime approaching.

(2:27PM) The Vikings were pushing for a touchdown before the time expired in the second-quarter and after WR Adam Thielen dropped a sure score, he was given another chance and bobbled the ball at the end of the play. After being ruled as a touchdown, the play was overturned and Minnesota settled for a field goal.

(2:24PM) After Texans QB Tom Savage apparently tried to play through a head injury, he was finally pulled in favor of QB TJ Yates. We have to assume Savage won’t return. The 49ers currently lead the Texans 10-3 late in the first-half.

(2:22PM) The 49ers hit paydirt on a two-yard touchdown run from RB Carlos Hyde on a drive keyed by a pair of long passes from QB Kimmy Garoppolo to RB Kyle Juszczyk for 29 and 31 yards respectively.

(2:20PM) The fantasy owners of TE Travis Kelce are fuming today. Just in the first-half, Kelce has had two touchdowns brought back, one on review and one on penalty and also dropped a pass inside the five-yard line.

(2:17PM) The Cowboys quickly answered that Giants touchdown as QB Dak Prescott hit WR Dez Bryant, who did most of the work breakign tackles and taking it 50 yards for the game-tying touchdown. Bryant now has 2/61/1.

(2:13PM) The scoreless tie in the snow has been broken as the Bills found the end zone. QB Nathan Peterman found WR Kelvin Benjamin, who has been his go-top option today, for the eight-yard touchdown. Benjamin now has 3/38/1, which is good for all of the yardage for Peterman. RB LeSean McCoy has 97 rushing yards in the first-half.

(2:11PM) At least the Bills and Colts have a reason for their ugly offensive numbers today. The Giants and Cowboys matchup has been ugly, but QB Eli Manning, back in the starting lineup after a one-week “benching,” has thrown a touchdown to TE Rhett Ellison, giving New York a 10-3 lead.

(2:06PM) Lions QB Matthew Stafford doesn’t look bothered by his hand injury at all today, completing 15 of 17 passes so far, including a recent touchdown pass to WR Golden Tate from five yards away. Detroit leads Tampa Bay 14-7. That was Tate’s first catch, while TE Eric Ebron (6/64) has led the way. WR Marvin Jones caught a 38-yarder to put Detroit in the red zone.

(2:04PM) Raiders WR Amari Cooper surprisngly was on the field today after dealing with a concussion, but he just suffered a leg injury that had him reaching for his left leg in obvious pain. Cooper has just one target and no catches on the day. The play looked similar to the one that ended the season for Redskins RB Chris Thompson as Cooper had his leg rolled up on as he was blocking.

(2:02PM) Here we go again, unfortunately. Panthers TE Greg Olsen just limped off the field, unable to put much weight on his foot. It is not clear if this issue is related to his previous foot injury that cost Olsen much of the season.

(2:00PM) And just like that, the Browns have the lead over the Packers as they hope to earn their first win of the season. QB DeShone Kizer pitched the ball to RB Duke Johnson, who took it in from seven yards out to give the Browns the 14-7 lead. A Packers loss would also likely mean no return for QB Aaron Rodgers, who could be activated next week if the team is still in playoff contention.

(1:57PM) With the return of Browns WR Josh Gordon and a nice matchup against the Packers defense, Cleveland’s rookie QB DeShone Kizer looks like a different player today. He’s completed eight of nine passes for 107 yards and a score. Gordon is up to 3/69/1, while WR Corey Coleman has hauled in both of his targets for 24 yards.

(1:42PM) The Bengals are on the board after QB Andy Dalton connected with WR Brandon LaFell for a 14-yard touchdown. With no RB Joe Mixon (concussion) this week, RB Giovani Bernard has five carries for 36 yards late in the first-quarter.

(1:40PM) The long touchdown drought for Chiefs rookie RB Kareem Hunt is over. After a 17-yard touchdown for TE Travis Kelce was overturned, Hunt ran it in from one-yard out, his first score in nine games. Hunt has 31 yards on eight carries.

(1:37PM) If you somehow have Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart in your playoff lineup, you’re off to a good start. Stewart just pushed through the defense for his second touchdown of the day, this one for one-yard. Carolina now leads 14-7.

(1:27PM) Many thought the Bucs should stick with RB Peyton Barber, even with RB Doug Martin healthy. The veteran Martin got the start and now he has the touchdown, running in a short one-yard score. Martin has all of the carries for Tampa so far for 18 yards. The Bucs and Lions are tied at 7.

(1:25PM) In the heavy snow of Buffalo, Colts QB Jacoby Brissett has yet to even attempt a pass. Instead, veteran RB Frank Gore has nine carries for 30 yards, while rookie RB Marlon Mack has carried twice for 17 yards. Colts K Adam Vinatieri badly missed a field goal attempt.

(1:23PM) The Vikings had a quick answer for the long Panthers touchdown run. QB Case Keenum had some big gainers to WRs Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs and finished it off with an 18-yard strike to TE Kyle Rudolph for the touchdown, tying the game.

(1:19PM) The Browns are trying to respond to the Packers score and did just that with a touchdown pass to WR Josh Gordon. Along with the 18-yard score, Gordon also had the big play on the drive, a 38-yard reception. The Browns and Packers are tied at 7 in the early going.

(1:17PM) After a ong touchdown from rookie RB Tarik Cohen was overturned, the Bears gave it to starter Jordan Howard, who ran nearly untouched for a 21-yard score. The Bears did miss the extra point and lead 6-0 over the Bengals.

(1:15PM) The Packers marched the ball down the field against the Browns defense, ending with a 30-yard touchdown pass from QB Brett Hundley to RB Jamaal Williams. After not even being targeted last week, WR Randall Cobb has three early catches for 16 yards.

(1:14PM) With RB Ameer Abdullah once again out of the lineup and rumored to be benched, RB Theo Riddick has scored a rushing touchdown for the second consecutive week, taking it in from two yards out. The Lions lead 7-0 over the Bucs.

(1:12PM) Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart is almost always a TD or bust option in fantasy leagues. He got his touchdown today and it was a big one. Stewart broke through the line and then took it 60 yards for the score, giving the Panthers the lead over the Vikings.

(1:06PM) Vikings QB Case Keenum targeted WR Adam Thielen on a pair of early throws, first connecting for a first-down on a 12-yard hook up, but then throwing an interception to the Panthers defense on a deep target. QB Cam Newton and Carolina has the ball.

(1:00PM) As is often the case in December, weather is expected to play a role in today’s games, especially in Buffalo where the Bills host the Colts and the field is covered with snow. Also, conditions could affect the Packers/Browns game.
