Welcome to Week 8’s Injury Roundup. It felt like players were getting injured left and right on Sunday, but thankfully it appears most of our fantasy stars stayed fairly intact. Of course this is a contact sport and muscles strain and sinews do sinewy things, so let’s see who took the brunt of the pain this week.

Jordan Cameron was forced from the Browns’ victory over the Raiders with a concussion on Sunday. Cameron has a history of concussions, which is concerning for his season outlook. His status for Week 9 against the Buccaneers is very much in question. This doesn’t really boost anyone else into fantasy relevancy, especially the way the Browns have looked of late.

Brian Quick left the stadium Sunday with his left arm in a sling after going down in the second quarter of the Rams’ loss at Kansas City. We can only speculate that it’s some kind of shoulder or collarbone issue since Jeff Fisher declined to get into specifics, but did say that some of his injured players would “miss some time.” Kenny Britt and Stedman Bailey would get a bump up the depth chart if Quick misses any games.

Editor’s Note: Rotoworld’s partner FanDuel is hosting a one-week $3 Million Fantasy Football league for Week 9’s games. It’s only $25 to join and first prize is $500,000. Starts Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. ET. Here’s the link.

Giovani Bernard missed most of the fourth quarter with a hip injury, but neither Bernard nor coach Marvin Lewis was even asked about the injury after the game, suggesting there were no indications Bernard was significantly injured. He has dealt with injuries this season, which have taken him out for periods of time during games. If they continue to pile up we could see Jeremy Hill see an increase in early down, between the tackles work, to limit his wear and tear.

Doug Martin was forced from the Buccaneers loss to the Vikings with a third-quarter ankle injury. The severity isn’t known as of yet, but his ineffectiveness coupled with rookie Charles Sims possible return in Week 9, put his fantasy stock around rock bottom.

Cordarrelle Patterson left the stadium with a walking boot on his left foot, but said it wasn’t a real problem. The boot appears precautionary, but it’s something to keep an eye on, especially after he had one of his best games of the season and gets a nice matchup with Washington next week.

Robert Woods left Sunday’s game against the Jets with a back injury. He had three catches for 50 yards and a touchdown before going down and was heavily involved early on. Sammy Watkins, Chris Hogan and Mike Williams would be the top three receivers if he misses any time, with Marquise Goodwin factoring in when he is healthy.

Nate Washington sprained the AC joint in his shoulder during the Titans loss to the Texans. The severity of his sprain is unknown, but this is the same injury that sidelined Jordan Cameron and Jimmy Graham for a while earlier this season. This could help Justin Hunter see a few more targets, but he had already passed him on the depth chart.

Stepfan Taylor left Sunday’s game against the Eagles with a calf injury. Andre Ellington continues to be the workhorse, so Taylor didn’t have much value as it was. Marion Grice would see backup duties if Taylor misses any time.

Ravens rookie wide receiver Michael Campanaro left the game against the Bengals with a hamstring injury. He had played well up to that point and was serving as a nice underneath, chain moving target for Joe Flacco.
