The incident occurred at Toyota Stadium in Frisco during a Freedom Fest event Tuesday night. Wilson was released from Frisco Detention Center after posting $10,000 bond. The case remains under investigation, police said.
“We are aware of the situation and we are in the process of gathering information,” a Cowboys spokesperson said in a statement. “We will not have a comment at this time.”
Wilson, a 2015 fourth-round pick, logged 49 tackles and 0.5 sacks over 32 appearances in two seasons.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Wilson was working with the team’s first-string unit during voluntary workouts.
