The Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans are pulling off a stunner of a trade.

Houston is trading quarterback Brock Osweiler and a 2018 second-round pick to Cleveland, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported. The teams also swapped fourth- and sixth-round compensatory picks, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport added.

The Browns are also weighing releasing Osweiler following the trade, Rapoport adds.

With Osweiler off the books and $10 million in new cap space, the Texans are now not expected to trade for Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Rapoport reported.

Meanwhile, the Browns are likely to move on from last year’s starting quarterback Robert Griffin III, Rapoport reported.

Around the NFL will have more on this story shortly.
